Ian's LinkedIn

Ian brings over 30 years of experience in emergency management, leadership, and reconciliation, experience that now informs a more relational, values-driven approach to facilitation and community work.

After stepping away from government to realign with his values, Ian’s focus has shifted toward cultivating spaces grounded in sovereignty, emotional safety, accountability, and connection.

As Lead Facilitator with Naqsmist and a Train-the-Trainer instructor, Ian supports the facilitator community through relational leadership, mentorship, and applied practice. His work centres on strengthening facilitation capacity while holding spaces where people can show up honestly, take responsibility for their growth, and build meaningful connection.

A core part of Ian’s work includes supporting men’s growth and accountability within community, creating space for deeper conversations, responsibility, and integrity in how they show up in their lives and relationships.

Ian is a citizen of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation, one of the inland Tlingit Nations in the southern Yukon. He currently lives as a guest in the W̱SÁNEĆ territories on southern Vancouver Island with his wife and their small, feisty dog.
